Midnight Mass takes place on Crockett Island, a run-down, fishing area that continually grows smaller since it was affected by an oil spill that caused most of its residents to leave. Riley Flynn (Zach Gilford) is released from prison and moves back home to Crockett. A new priest, Father Paul (Hamish Linklater) takes over from their aging parishioner. Quickly after the new priest arrives, miracles begin to occur on the island, which ignite a revived fervor of faith amount the islanders.

The Mitchells vs The Machines (Netflix – 2021)

The Mitchells vs The Machines follows Katie (Abbi Jacobson) as she prepares to go to college. She butts heads a lot with her father, Rick (Danny McBride). Rick decides to go on a family road trip in attempt to bond with Katie again before she goes to school. However, a robot uprising breaks out in the middle of their road trip.

Top 10 Movies of 2020

2020 is finally over! It’s been quite the year to say the least. A lot of movies were pushed back, so my top 10 list this year consists of some smaller fair. I also haven’t had the chance to fully review each movie on this list now that I have a full time job, so I will provide a mini-review for those.

The Haunting of Bly Manor (Netflix)

The Haunting of Bly Manor is the second installment of The Haunting series that follows Dani (Victoria Pedretti) as she travels to England and takes a nanny job for two orphaned children, Miles and Flora (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Amelie Bea Smith). However, her new job proves to be perilous as there are ghosts lurking around her new home.
