2019 has been over for a while now, but now that I’ve seen 1917 which is competing in the Oscars this year, I can finally release my Top 10 list. 2019 was truly a great year for film and I hope that 2020 and beyond will be even more diverse both in front of and behind the camera, and that we continue to support original films and new voices. Doctor Sleep is the sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s iconic film – The Shining. It follows Dan Torrence (Ewan McGregor) as an adult who is struggling with alcoholism much like his father. Once he meets a young girl named Abra (Kyliegh Curran) who also has the shining, they find themselves against a malicious cult called the True Knot.
The Witch is a horror film about a Puritan family whose life is torn apart once they suspect that their eldest daughter, Thomasin (Ana Taylor-Joy), of practicing witchcraft which has caused them to be cursed.
It is a film that centers around a group of kids who are losers that come together one summer to stop the clown, Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard). Pennywise terrorizes these kids with their worst fears, but they are the only ones willing to try and stop him.
It: Chapter Two takes place 27 years after the events of the first It. The Losers Club are all adults and they all return to Derry after Mike (Isaiah Mustafa) calls. They start remembering their trauma of Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) inflicted on them as kids and must be ready to face him again.
Ready or Not is a film about a new bride, Grace (Samara Weaving), who marries into a very wealthy family. They get their wealth from games and as a tradition they play a game with the new family member on the day of their marriage. However what Grace thinks is a friendly game of hide and seek ends up being deadly.
The end of the summer is upon us and I just wanted to take a second to share with you all my most anticipated fall movies for the end of the year. The Fall movie season is definitely my favorite movie season. So let’s dive in.
